Help Fight Cancer in Pets
If you would like to make a difference in the fight against cancer in pets, there are several worthy organizations that would welcome your support of their research efforts:
The ACVIM is the international certifying organization for veterinary specialists in medical oncology, small and large animal internal medicine, cardiology and neurology, and works to advance research and education. The ACVIM Foundation bridges the gap between available funding and the vital work that needs to be done. Because clinical studies in veterinary medicine are severely underfunded and virtually no government support exists, ACVIM specialists have long depended on the generosity of private donors and industry sponsors to support their research. The ACVIM Foundation is always looking for the next new breakthrough in veterinary internal medicine. Your gift can support its work for generations to come.
The American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) is the charitable arm of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). For over 50 years, the AVMF has been dedicated to the mission of embracing and advancing the well-being and medical care of animals. Charitable contributions and support to the Foundation help veterinarians help animals.
The AVMF supports the AVMA and its initiatives, along with its own four strategic initiatives that include: Humane Outreach-Animal Welfare, Education and Public Awareness, Research Support, and Student Enhancement. The AVMF, a three-time, four-star rated nonprofit by Charity Navigator, has awarded more than $10 Million in grants since it began in 1963.
Morris Animal Foundation is the place where science meets hope. It is a nonprofit organization that invests in science to advance animal health. The Foundation is a global leader in funding scientific studies for companion animals, horses and wildlife. Since its founding in 1948, Morris Animal Foundation has invested more than $92 million toward 2,300 studies that have led to significant breakthroughs in diagnostics, treatments, preventions and cures for animals.
For over 100 years, the American Cancer Society (ACS) has worked relentlessly to save lives and create a world with less cancer.
